 Saraswati Library Rocklyn is a specialised library of Yoga and related subjects available to Satyananda Yoga teachers, yogic studies students, ashram residents and guests.

Our library is guided by and named in honour of the Divine Mother Saraswati. Saraswati Ma is the Goddess of learning, knowledge and wisdom of the highest spiritual kind. She is also the Goddess of fine arts and speech.
 

LIBRARY USE & MEMBERSHIP: Yoga teachers, yogic studies students, ashram residents and guests can use and borrow from the Saraswati Library during their ashram stay. Loans of books for use outside the Ashram are only available to yogic studies students who have paid a $50.00 library membership fee.

CATALOGUE: The Saraswati Library catalogue is stored on LibraryThing - a social cataloguing web application - and is freely available for searching by anyone. To access the catalogue and search for books, click on this link:

The catalogue will help you find books in your areas of research or interest which you may wish to borrow from the Saraswati Library (if you are a yogic studies student member), borrow from your local library, or purchase from a bookstore or online bookseller.

The catalogue is a work in progress and will continue to evolve over time and be continuously updated as new items are added to, or deleted from, the library’s collection.

DONATIONS: Donations of good quality Yoga and related books (in terms of both content and condition) are welcome and appreciated. The Saraswati Library's core subjects and collecting areas are:

• Vedanta, Samkhya and other Indian philosophies
• Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and other source texts
• Tantra, Tantras

• autobiographies and biographies of gurus, yogis, yoginis, saints, social reformers, disciples and devotees; spiritual life and spiritual experiences

• health and wellbeing, yoga therapy, ayurveda; other therapies
• personal development, self-improvement
• yogic and tantric art and literature, symbology, yantra, mandalas

Any donated books which are not in keeping with the library's ‘Collection Development Policy’, or are excess to requirements, are sold or donated elsewhere as appropriate. Any funds raised are used to buy new titles for the library.

Donations of money to fund the purchase of books is also welcome.
