As well as a daily asana and pranayama class, yoga nidra (relaxation), and meditation, the Living Consciously retreats include group discussions twice daily and up to 4½ hours of karma yoga – shared work in the activities of the ashram lifestyle.

“This course has given me tools to redirect my awareness, plus gain balance in physical, mental and emotional energy. The practices of mindfulness, community karma yoga (mindful shared work), daily yoga and regular group discussions were helpful in achieving this balance. Karma yoga includes kitchen, garden, maintenance and office work, as well as other interesting projects.
By witnessing physical sensations, thoughts, emotions, actions and reactions I learnt to detach from negative habits ‘in the heat of the moment’ and let go. The course invites and teaches ‘profound simplicity’ via ashram lifestyle which supports regularity, creativity and expansion from within.
